What a Weekend!

The three of us had such a wonderful weekend! We went up to the cabin early Friday afternoon and I don't think we stopped smiling until bedtime Sunday night. This was the first time Dane has been able to enjoy the cabin. And boy did he ever...

Dane has been pretty much obsessed with tractors lately and Great Grandpa Greenwald has 3 of them. Dane went from one to the next to the next saying "Dane Drive."

The boat was another really fun thing for all of us. Dane loved to drive this too. I loved to see my little boy have so much fun.

Dane was able to see Daddy catch lots of fish and do some fishing of his own.

(This is one of my most favorite pictures ever-aren't they just so amazing...)

Another tractor ride, but this time Dane sat by himself. He wouldn't even let my arm touch him. He is getting so independent. Some of that is nice, but I'm starting to miss my little guy.

A tubby in the sink has never been so much fun. Here we are getting ready to be clean.

Fun, fun, fun. Dane actually asked for the tubby.

Sunday we got back from the cabin early enough to visit the carnival and our dad's. Here is Dane getting dressed by himself. Good job big boy!

This was so sweet. We were down watching the boat races. These two...two peas in a pod.

Dane wanted to ride to train, so Mom went too. So much fun.

What a way to end what I would call, the perfect weekend. We had such a great time altogether and watching our child experience so many things for the first time. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by-Dane's almost two! Ross and I just love each day and are so looking forward to all of the new things our family will enjoy together. Dane makes us realize what true happiness is!

And finally, a shout out to our best Daddy! Happy Father's Day! Ross is the ideal dad. Hands on, loving, giving, and protective. He sets an amazing example of the type of man I hope our boys will become. Thanks Ross, for all of the hard work and love you give to our family. We are so lucky to have you!

Just Hanging Around

Dane and I have been hanging out at my parent's house a lot lately-they are both home, so we've been able to play and visit with them quite often.
He loves to play on their swingset and slide.

If you look closely, you can see Dane has something in his pocket...well it's part of a golf club. He had a lot of fun putting it in his pocket and then throwing it down the slide.

This picture turned out a bit blurry, but he is a master at the slide

and a monkey, too.

Dane is helping make some oj for our sunday breakfast. He is seriously an amazing helper! Makes me PROUD!!

And finally, this morning when he woke up, he asked for TV. So here he is enjoying a little "Handy Manny" and some pediasure.

So Much Fun with Dane!

Sunday was very hot, so Dane played in his little pool and seemed to have a lot of fun.

My little guy loves to play at the park. The slide is the best thing ever.

Here he is hanging like a monkey.

And again...a monkey. That's what he says before he does it. Monkey.

I just can't think of a day that I haven't had fun with Dane. Each morning I look forward to all the day has in store for us. The simple things are incredible.

Such a Beautiful Week!!

We had a busy, fun week enjoying the beautiful weather. We took in Como Zoo and Dane loved seeing the "animals" at the "soo."

Almost all of the animals were still inside and it was 68 degrees out! The zebra and giraffe area was seriously the smelliest thing I have ever smelled in my entire life. I took these pictures and we were outta there...
I didn't get any shots of Dane because of course, sitting still for a picture was not happening.

Here is Dane trying to enjoy corn on the cob for the first time.

He thought it was cool holding it, but didn't understand how to bite it.

After dinner, we enjoyed the evening outside with a sucker and wagon ride. It's so much fun to play outside with Dane.

Another day spent at the park. Dane is picking flowers...his new favorite thing to do.

On the playground with Dad!

We wrapped up the weekend with me painting my "boys" bathroom. It turned out so cute!

Fun Day for Mom!

It was my birthday yesterday and it was a day filled with fun (for me, anyways...)

We met Erin and Celia for lunch and some playground fun! The kids had a blast and Erin and I had a nice time catching them and catching up!
Thanks for the nice afternoon my dear friends. We are so lucky to know you!

Dane does a gymnastics class with his Dad every Thursday night. I usually work, so I've never been able to see it. I took the night off of work to see my two boys have fun together.

Here is Dane playing at a different park before gymnastics class.

My two loves getting ready to tumble!

Dane is a very observant boy, but likes to participate in a few things. Here he is hanging from the high bar. He's pretty good.

Red Shoes and Pittsburgh Blue

Dane thinks shoes are fun-especially other peoples shoes.

Here he is gallivanting around the house in a pair of my very cute red shoes!

Next up was dinner for my birthday at Pittsburgh Blue. We had great food (the best steak I've ever had) and even better company.

Here are my mother and father-in-law with the amazing red velvet birthday cake they gave me! It was beautiful and delicious.

Ross and I left Dane with my parents and had some adult time. It was very nice.
Thanks so much Mom and Pop Greenwald. It was a lot of fun!

Our Week in a Nutshell

We had a pretty busy week. You have to when you've got such an active little boy.

Dane decided to decorate his face then his body, with stickers. He sure is special!

Dane begged me to play "side." I caved and here we are in the pouring rain. At least he had some fun.
Occasionally, I get super strange gifts from "santa" in my stocking. One year, I received this lovely mini-plunger. Dane found it in our garage and here he is putting it to good use. How funny?!?

Later that same rainy day, we decided to make a fort. I used to make the best forts ever. Now I'm pretty lame...

Making cookies is good anytime, but especially when it's cold outside. Spoons taste good, too.

My mom, Dane and I went down to the M-O-A and brought Dane on his first carousel ride. He loved the cool dragon.

Next stop was Underwater World. It was really neat to watch Dane experience all this stuff for the first time. He thought that turtles were fun and really liked all of the fish. And saying the word fish. Over and over...

This is the biggest turtle in the whole place weighing 165 pounds. Boy was it massive.

Last stop on our tour was the dive tank. In and out. Over and over... We had a great time and are looking forward to a fun summer with Grandma Tammy (she's newly semi-retired). Yay Mom!
