This is BAD.

This is just so bad. I haven't blogged in forever. What's worse, you say...what's worse is that if I haven't blogged that means I haven't taken any pictures. What a bad mom. I'm making it a goal, here and now, from today for-a while-to take a picture every day. These amazing boys are changing before our eyes and I'm not documenting. My friend V would flip her gasket. So I'll give you what I have for pictures (don't judge) and tell you about these wonderful little sugar plums.

Dane is 4 1/2. He loves school and is starting to learn site words (which I can't even believe). He loves every sport and asked us if he could play soccer, tennis, golf and baseball this summer. Oh, and start again with swim lessons. We had him choose one so he will be playing Sunday Night T-ball this summer! He's been riding a two-wheeler for almost a year and gets to pick out his new bike in a few weeks-he says he's getting a dirt bike!! He makes pictures for Ross and I everyday at school. Like little notes in envelopes addressed to us. It's the cutest.thing.ever! He still thinks his brother is pretty cool and they wrestle around like crazy. He's also still very aware of other peoples feelings and doesn't like to see anyone sad. He's a rule follower and is first to point out who isn't following them. He will be doing something quietly and stop to say "Mommy. I love you." And he started to have me kiss him on the cheek when I drop him off at school, if friends are near. (sigh...)

Cash is 2 1/2. Totally. This little guy is BANANAS. He is the sweetest little love, so full of energy. All of the time! But he is, half of the time, two. And he whines and fusses and complains and refuses to eat food that he used to always eat. The other half is happy Cashie. Admiring his brother with adoring eyes, following him around trying to do everything Dane does. My favorite thing about Cash is that he does try to be just like Dane, but if he doesn't like what or how Danie is doing something, he does his own thing. He's a lefty (most of the time) but springs in doing stuff with his right hand. I think he'll be good at both hands just like his Daddy. He's starting to show interest in potty training. I know he could have it down pat--he's dry all night, he tells me many times when he needs to go potty, and when he goes in his diaper, he wants it changed. He's pooped tons of times on the toilet. But I'm not going to push it. It actually freaks me out to think of no diapers in the house. Cash is our music man. He still goes to story time every week at the library and his favorite part of that is the singing!! He's also still going to ECFE every week and now begs for his class. He knows it's on Wednesdays..so cute! He's now obsessed with Diego. At least he's over Calliou. It gets hard when they watch the same thing all.day.long. Cash is my right hand man (or left). He loves being right by me. He wants to help with everything. And most days, I revel in it. He's probably my last baby...

This is what's new-or the same. Nonetheless, they are still great!!!!!

Up to...

What have we been up to? Not much. Just getting back into the routine of things after Dane being off of school for 2 weeks. We've just been hanging around.

Cashie got a new camera from Santa. He is obsessed with taking pictures and always wants to see when we take them. Here are just a few shots he took Christmas morning.

And with all the snow we have, we're trying to get outside as much as possible on the warmer days.
The other day, we played at the park. Who knew it could be just as fun in the snow?!

Overdue

Happy New Year! What a fabulously fun filled last few weeks we've had. Winter break from school, Christmas get together's with family and friends, outdoor activities (especially hockey) and lots of laughing! Our two rugrats sure are funny!

I'm going to let the pictures do most of the talking...

Pond being cleared off by Ross and neighbor Joe.

Pond hockey right in the backyard. Too bad it lasted for all of an hour before it sprung a leak and flooded. Boo.

More skating at the Pit with Daddy!

Cute pictures with Uncle Bryan on Christmas Eve!

Santa's Little Helpers (anyone who knows our kids knows Dane is constantly taking his clothes off. Even on Christmas. Geesh.

Christmas morning--"Look guys. It's just what I've always wanted. Santa brought me exactly what I asked for. Can you believe it?!" (cutest thing ever!)

Cashie's new camera from Santa.

And new tools from Dad.

Tubing with Daddy and Grandma Lynn!

This New Year's Eve marked the one year anniversary in our home. I can't even believe it's been a year already. We decided to celebrate with our friends and have a murder mystery party. It was a blast-to say the least. So much fun and we are all excited to start this new tradition~This one was Mafia Murder at the Speakeasy.
Doesn't everyone look great!?

2011. Holy mackerel.

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year...

Thanksgiving kicks off such excitement for all that is to come. Everyone feels so good, happy and thankful. The giving season is upon us and people just seem more fulfilled. Maybe that's how I feel.

We hosted Thanksgiving with the Greenwald's this year. It was my first attempt at a turkey..I think it turned out pretty good!
We spent the following Saturday celebrating with my side of the family-no pictures though. I'm so lame.

We decided to cut our tree down the day after Thanksgiving. Dane wasn't so sure. He really wanted to just have the tree stay in the ground. "We can't cut down a tree Mom. That's not good." I suppose I should have agreed, I mean really, it's not a great thing to do and I'm not quick on the fly with an answer to that. But, I had to have another tree (we already put up our fake tree upstairs). I have all these great ornaments that needed to be shown, so Dane was out of luck. He didn't seem to mind too much once we got there and he got to "help" Dad.

Putting on the finishing touches.

Ta-da! It's pretty and smells good!
(And you can see on the bottom left where Cashie added his personal touch)

Here's our other tree! I love having room to do two big trees. Maybe next year I'll shoot for three!

Here are the boys at Space Aliens. Again. It's starting to become a regular spot every few weeks. Tuesday's kids eat free and get free tokens. What's not great about that?!

Yesterday Ross took Dane to see his first play at Elk River High School. "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" They had a great time and Dane has talked non-stop about it since he got home.

Dane informed me that we have 19 sleeps left until Santa comes. Holy Hannah...I can't wait!
