Ut-aaahhhhh...

Thursday we all hopped a plane and flew out to Salt Lake City, Utah for a weekend at the McNally's (it's like a resort where they live)! There was a little family reunion planned on Ross's side and the Greenwald's (my in-laws) were gracious enough to pick up the tab for us to make the trip. We had a GREAT time!

It was the first time either of our boys had flown, so we didn't know what to expect. We did think Dane would do awesome, which he did. Cash was a different story. He is so mobile these days that keeping him in my lap was nearly impossible. Let's just say we will not be flying with him again until he's at least 2.

Getting ready to take off. Dane was so excited and kept saying, "is it time to take off yet Daddy?"

Grandma and Grandpa Greenwald.
(Quite funny picture of Grandma Lynn~but she's funny, so that's ok.)

Daner peeking out the window. Wow.

We arrived safe and sound and within 5 minutes, the shirts came off and the games began. Dane is very interested in playing any and everything around.

Cash showing everyone his new moves.

Dane and Daniel were hooked at the hip the entire weekend.
The McNally boys were so sweet to our little guys.

The men in the family are hot stuff. Seriously!!
I'm very lucky!

Ross at the top of the mountain behind the house. The view is unbelievable.

Swimming with Grandpa.

Our little fishie!
To say Cash loves the water is such an understatement. He is so happy splashing around.

Our hosts: Dave, Nancy, Patrick and Daniel McNally
Wonderful hosts! Very thoughtful and considerate people.

Me and the hubbs.

Ross, Jessie and Dane Greenwald (Cash was snoozing)

Dave is on the board of the fire department (I hope I got that right)
anyways...there was an event for children, so Ross took Dane, along with Dave, Patrick, Daniel and Uncle Bryan to check out the new fire department in their neighborhood.

Going down the fire pole.

Spraying the water.
He looks so serious.

So cute "driving" the truck. He asks to drive everywhere we go.
Does he really think that one time I'll say yes??

Later the same day, we drove out to Deer Valley, a beautiful little town next to Park City. Everything was breathtaking!

On the way, I turned around and spotted this. It was the sweetest thing.
The picture isn't the greatest, but you get the idea. Our boys love each other so much.

After arriving in Deer Valley, we proceeded to take a chair lift up the mountain. Thank God there was a bar that came down. I was scared out of my mind. I was not in control of what could happen. The view was awesome and I wasn't worried about myself or Ross. I just kept thinking "what if Dane slips or jumps up and flies out...". It was the scariest thing that I've ever gone through. I cried on the way up. Oh...and the boys did great.

Ross decided to take a picture of us. I am holding on to Dane with one arm and the lift with the other. It was horrifying.

After eating lunch we snapped a few shots before heading up another lift to yet another mountain even higher up. Let's just say that I didn't breathe very well for much of the afternoon. And I'm pretty sure I have some new gray hairs.

See what I mean? Beautiful view, but come on...

At the top. On solid ground. I'm glad that we did it, but I will not do that again until the boys are a lot older.

Dane and Daddy enjoying the view.

The last night of our weekend on the pool deck enjoying food, drink and eachother!

The three buds~amigos~compadres~stooges~dudes! These three were so fun to watch together.

Thanks so very much to the McNally's for having all of us at your amazing home. Thanks for the wonderful food, beverages, entertainment, hospitality and love. Let's do it again--in a few years when it's not hell to travel with my baby :o)

And thanks again to Big Daddy and Grandma Lynn for taking us along. We appreciate it more than you will know and had such a fun time with you. Hopefully you enjoyed yourselves, as well.

Chalk it Up..Teddy Bear Band..Father's Day!

I'm a little behind on my postings--sorry.
A few weeks ago, Elk River Parks and Recreation was putting on a Chalk it Up event. We did this once last summer and the kids had a blast (the kids being Dane and Celia). So when Erin asked us to go, we were greatly looking forward to it. They had awesome live music and the weather was just warm enough!

Celia showing us her art work.

Cash eating the chalk. This is better than what I found in his mouth a minute later. Eeeewww...

Dane and Celia enjoying a sucker and staying out of the fountain. Very shocking that they actually listened to that one.

Daner!

The following day, the Teddy Bear Band was playing at Lion's Park. Again, we saw them last year with the Skubic's and were looking forward to hearing them again.
This day, however, was raining. Cats and dogs. So we were moved to an indoor location that was jam packed. It was quite loud, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Dane snacking it up and sit-dancing with his bears.

Self portrait of me and the Cash-man. He just hung out on my lap soaking in the tunes and sights around him.

Father's Day this year was a little different for me. I had to work--I thought it was the previous weekend and took it off, but I was wrong. So as I headed off to face the thirsty golfers, Ross took the boys to his parents for a late breakfast of potato pancakes. I was bummed when I heard that. Those are gooooood!

Dane doing what he loves to do--hang out in his unders and frog boots!

Happy Father's Day (a little late, but not forgotten on the date!)

WoWza!!!

Well, we've been off for quite some time--lost another camera. Not me this time (thank goodness)! But, we have a new one and we are now back to blogging.

Things have been pretty busy around here. Busy with ecfe, playdates, library, park visits, our little pool, visits with the grandparents and of course, spending as much time as possible all together just hangin' around!

Lots of random pictures...

Cash is still thinking his brother is the best person in the entire world. Dane and Cash love to smooch one another and I find it absolutely beautiful!

I had to put sunblock on Cashie's head because he won't keep a hat on. It's funny. Dane loves hats and has since he was little-little. Cash greatly dislikes them. Anyways...his hair is rather long so with the sunblock in, he has a sa-weet mohawk.

Dane being himself.

Cash crashing our game of Candyland.
Ugh.
It drives me crazy that we can't really do anything when he's awake, but his face is so cute that I'm only crazy for a few seconds.

Two brothers wrestling.

This past weekend, we went to the Father Hennepin Festival with some friends. We had a great time at the carnival. Games, rides, curds. The parade on the other hand...

Dane driving a car at the carnival.

This little guy was obsessed with the games. Luckily we had Daddy along who is patient and willing to play every game with Dane. I think it was worth every dollar (and a lot of dollars were spent) to watch Dane's concentration (game) face while playing and then his excited, smiley face when he won a prize. We now have quite the collection of junky fair prizes if anyone is interested.

To me, Ross is superman. He is very strong and very buff!!! Here is my superman trying to ring the bell with a sledgehammer. He didn't ring that bell, but he sure looked good trying.

Ross, Cash, Dane, Matt, Isabelle and Gina ready for the parade.
Little did these smiling faces know that the parade was going to be so bad. Really, the worst parade I've ever seen. We left halfway through. It was bad.

Isabelle didn't really seem to mind the cruddy parade and wore a cute smile on her face the entire time we were there!

Cash did so great but was up waaaayyyy past his bedtime. Here is Daddy trying to keep him happy. He was asleep when his head hit the stroller and we started to walk.
All that fun can really wear a kid out.

Another random of these funny boys. Right before I took the balls away and deflated the car. It had become a hazard.

My little pig-pen after eating some ice cream at Grandma Tammy's.

Sunday, we went out on Grandpa and Grandma Greenwald's boat. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. Cash wasn't a fan of the boat, but still proves to be a fish in the water.

Ross and Grandma Lynn.

Cash-man digging in the sand. Every time I turned around, he had another mouthful of sand.

Dane and Grandpa Greg had a great time building a sandcastle. Two seconds later, it was destroyed by Dane the dozer.

Helping drive us back to shore!
We had such a great time and can't wait to get out again. Hopefully soon!

The little pool was like bathwater after having sat out in the sun all day. Here is an evening romp before dinner. I can still hear the giggles.

Lastly, my little helper doing one of his jobs. Watering (or in this case) spraying the plants--in between an outdoor game of uno. Actually we played three games, and I won zero. Hmpf.
