Beating the Heat

We had a hot week. Hot. It hasn't been hot like this, the entire summer. To deal with it, we spent some time outside in the early hours of the day. Thankfully, we are back to nice weather.

Lounging at the splash park with Jaelyn.

Inside on a hot afternoon playing in the toy box. Yes--in the toy box.

Otsego had a penny carnival on day and we had a pretty good time. We met up with Erin and Celia for some games, jumping, park playing and a picnic. We haven't spent much time with the Skubic's this summer, so it was extra fun!

Dane and CC jumping. The laughter and noises that came out of the two of them was so cute!

Picnicking in the shade. It felt so awesome getting out of the sun and heat.

Monkey boy has been climbing everything in sight these days. I turned around to see this. I made him get right down, after I took the picture!

Dane loves to go bowling. My working at the bowling alley gives us many advantages. We've gone a few times this summer. He's growing up so fast...

Love the concentration. And it's adorable when he get's so excited--"I got a spare, Mom."

Cash enjoying his first sucker! I don't know what I was thinking giving it to him in the car. Everything was a sticky mess.

My Little Loves

The little guys are just great! We are all hanging around doing what we've been doing all summer--playing!

We were getting ready to go out and Dane said "I'm going to wear my jeans like this-both legs in one hole. I'll be a mermaid man and people will think I'm really funny!"
Ross and I couldn't stop laughing!

After a few days of rain, we tramped outside and played in the puddles! Both of the boys had a blast!

Cashie got a little too wet, but didn't seem to mind one bit!

Dane chasing after his stick--he and Daddy raced. Who do you think won??

If you look closely, you will see that Dane is holding two worms. One of which he said was named Jared. Hmmm.

Dane puts on Ross's socks and says he is going skating in the kitchen. He's been doing this for at least a year, yet he still thinks it's fun. Whatever.

I wanted to post this because this is how they do everything. Well, Cash is following Dane all around in the hopes Dane will play with him. And many times he does. It's the cutest thing ever.

Mostly Dane with a little Cashie on top

(Please excuse the pictures if they look blurry. Right now, as I type, they look really blurry. But I'm still going to post.)

Same old stuff going on with us. I can't believe how fast Summer has gone by. If you can even call it Summer. It's been so cool. I've enjoyed the weather greatly, but it's not been Summer weather.
Cash turns one in a few weeks, with Dane 3 days behind him turning 3. They are both so funny and adorable. Cash is babbling up a storm. He clearly says "mama, dadda and day (for dane)." But this week he has begun to speak a bit of Russian (or what sounds like Russian--if I knew what Russian sounded like). He's funny like his brother and they laugh the same! Cash follows Dane everywhere and wants to do everything that Dane is doing. Bugs Dane, but I find it sweet.

Mama's boy!

Celebrating Great-Grandpa Marvin's 80th birthday! Dane enjoyed a few rides around on the golf cart.

I got Dane some new jammies. He wanted to wear this pair out to the birthday party, but that didn't happen. He did put them on right when we got home. Here he is practicing his super power skills. So funny!

They are the cutest jammers. And how does he know how to pose just right??

First time trying spaghetti and loving every bite! I know I loved the clean-up. I was finding it in lots of different places. Yay for me!

Dane being goofy during our game of go-fish. Cards in his piggies. That's what he said. "Look Mom...cards in my piggies." He thinks he is funnier than we do!

Playing on the rings at the park.
We've been going to different parks a lot this summer. The boys love it!

Running the bases at the field. After this, Dane said, "Mom...when I turn 3 on September one, I'm going to play t-ball and you and my Daddy and my Cashie are going to sit on the bench and watch me play." The stuff they come up with. It was such a great statement!

Amazing.

Filling up our Days

As I write this, I'm feeling a little sad...I looked at Cash this morning and realized that he doesn't look like a baby anymore. He's a walking, jabbering, climbing, happy, chubby little toddler. Where did my baby go? He will be one in a month. I remember his birth date like yesterday. Wow. Time flies...

Cashie chilling out after a bike ride to the park.

Dane had been begging Daddy for a baseball mitten. Daily he would ask if we could go get one. Ross was stoked. As soon as we found out Dane was a boy (in my belly) he was looking forward to the day that they would play catch together. He ran right out and got the cutest little mitt and ball for Dane.
Here he is showing it off. He LOVES it!

Daddy's dream!
And our little sportsters, too. Anything he can play, is his most favorite!

This picture is so sweet to me. He looks so innocent and grown up.
I think this might have been right after I told him he couldn't do something. He said, "seriously Mom?" What?? Then, "that's obnoxious." Hmmm...

This day was quite busy for us. Here we are going for another walk.
The boys were so cute~talking to each other most of the walk.

Funny Bug wearing Daddy's rollerbalde boots.

We were out to eat one night with Grandma and Grandpa Greenwald and the boys were a bit restless after dinner. So we came outside. This happened immediately. Whatever. They just rode home nakey!

Their little squeals of delight were music to my ears.
Everyone always says it's the simple things--it really is.

We hit up the Sherburne County Fair for what Dane loves most in the world right now. Games. Games of any kind. But games where he can win junkie carnival toys are the best!

The game won him a big stuffed pug. Of which he named Monkey.

"Hi guys! I'm a pilot!"
Every time around he would scream 'hi guys' and wave with a huge smile.
Ross said, "that's the cutest thing in the whole world." First the kid melts my heart then the daddy. I love it.

Finally a warm enough day for my cold blooded crew. We pulled out the pool and sprinkler early. They were having a blast. As soon as Ross got home from work, he joined in on the fun!

Such great action shots!

Life!

Nothing much new with the Greenwald Crew. Just LIFE!

Dane received a fishing pole that's "just perfect for me guys," for his 2nd birthday. He broke it shortly there after, but Daddy (mr. fix-it) fixed it. Anyway, Dane has mastered the cast. He always asks us to watch his cast. He really is good at it. He doesn't try to catch anything, but he casts quite often. This is his favorite place to cast from.

On the 4th of July this year, we got together at my parent's house with all of my family. We celebrated the July birthday's, as well. My brother's 3 kids were all born in July, my cousin Hannah and my Uncle Bob.

Here are the cute cakes my Mom made.
Hunter turns 5. Hannah turns 6. Ava turned 3 on July 4th. Uncle Bob...and Cooper turned 1.
It was a fun day. I love watching all of the little kids together. I didn't get much for pictures as the kids are craaaazzy!

Cooper really enjoyed his first cake experience. So cute and funny watching him dive in.
Even funnier watching him sit there all dirty.

That afternoon we let Dane nap extra long to keep him up for fireworks. He was so excited. He made it up until they started, but was so tired. When he gets over tired like that, he's quite annoying. Oh well. He had fun and so did we!

We could see fireworks from every direction off of our deck.
Here is Dane watching.

I like this picture. So funny.

Now that Cash is getting bigger, it's been fun to go to the park with both of the boys. (more fun for me if Ross is with!!)

Mommy and Cashie!

I tried really hard to get them to both look, but this was the best we could get.

Dane practicing his balancing skills.

Cash and Daddy!

Swinging Brothers!

Loving the swing!
