What a Christmas!

We had such an incredible Christmas this year! It's ridiculous how much fun parents have with Christmas! Now I know what my parents meant when they said how great it was.
Dane was excited about Christmas once he knew he would be getting presents, but he was so patient and kind watching others open their gifts.

We began Christmas Eve at the house of Greenwald. We had a wonderful dinner and a fun evening of laughs and love. Oh, and an overwhelmingly amount of generous gifts.

Lots of gifts, as usual!

Here is Dane playing with his new Thomas computer from Great Grandpa Marvin and Great Grandma Iva. Poor Grandma Iva came down with a bug and had to spend Christmas in bed. We really missed her. Dane also got a really cool 50's diner from Grandma Lynn and Grandpa Greg. Unfortunately most every picture I took didn't turn out well. Needless to say, he loves his diner and plays with it all the time.

Cash was hanging out nakey watching everyone open gifts.

More presents.
Dane was exhausted by the end of the night. That didn't keep him from staying awake the entire car ride home-he was so excited to put out the cookies and milk for Santa.

Christmas morning brought Dane full of smiles yelling "it's Christmas!" It was such a wonderful way to wake up. His first stop was by the fireplace to see if Santa ate his cookies. "He ate 'em. He ate 'em, Daddy." It was the cutest thing ever.

We had the morning to ourselves and really enjoyed our time together (our first Christmas as a family of 4)!

Dane received some great toys. He was really excited about this bowling set from Daddy.

Dad and Dane.

Self-timer photo--ugh..I need some make-up.

After lunch, playing with toys and naps, we headed over to my parents for some more Christmas. Wow. We sure get to do a lot of Christmas.
Again, we shared an awesome meal, a load of gifts--3 adult children, their spouses and 8 grandchildren. My parents out do themselves every year. Big thanks to those two!!

Hunter and his Hulk gloves.
They were pretty cool.

Watching the mayhem.
All the little ones were in a hurry-they wanted to PLAY!

Grandma Tammy made robes for all the little kids. Not that great of a picture, but he looked soooo cute in his little robe.

Just playing.

The Greenwald's.

Home and in our snuggly pj's.

Playing with his new Carnival track set from Grandma Tammy and Grandpa Jeff.

Dane decided he wanted to dress up in his knight costume (one of the gifts my friend Becky gave him for Christmas). As he put on his hat, he asked Daddy to put on his helmet too.
Funny.

Ross joined a hockey league this winter. Dane is obsessed with sports (seriously, he is). He saw his Daddy's stuff and wanted to play hockey too. Of course Ross had to get him his own skates and stick. Look at how little those skates are. They fit him though, and he handles the stick so well. It's frightening how good he is at sports. He definitely didn't get that from me.

Skating for Dane isn't really skating. But practice makes perfect and anything with Daddy is fun.

Cash has not been very satisfied in the food department lately, so I decided to try some rice cereal and see if that would help. I can't believe it, but at 4 months, he actually ate it. It took only three spoonfuls being spit back out, for him to swallow. I couldn't get the spoon to his mouth fast enough. I think he might be the eater of the two boys.

Dane hasn't wanted to sit in the high chair for a year. But, because Cash was in it, he needed to be in there, too.

And more pictures of my smiley baby. He is really such a happy guy. Unless he gets stuck on his tummy and can't roll over again. That makes him very mad. He just has to be moving.

I just want to say thank you again, to all of my family and friends for making this-my favorite holiday-so special. It's because of each and everyone of you that make it that way. We are so grateful to have such love in our lives.
