Rainy Week

We have been stuck inside again this past week due to the cruddy weather. How is it fair for mother nature to tease us with weather in the 60's and then throw 30's at us?
Kind of hard for me to figure out what to do with Dane when Cash is getting into everything. If I do any crafty stuff or board games with him, it has to be when Cash is sleeping. That doesn't happen too often.

Dane has become a master on the computer. I'm not sure if that's such a good thing, but it has deterred him from the tv :o)
He can use the laptop mouse wonderfully! Playhouse Disney has so many fun games!

And just look at that happy face!

Just cute!

Big, huge jump and a lovely mess inside the boots! But, what fun!
Bring on the spring!

Spring Fever

Again, we didn't do too much this week. Storytime, gymnastics, ecfe class, shopping...
We spent St. Patrick's Day with Grandma Lynn and Grandpa Greg. Homemade rueben's and green beer. Yummo!

My two little Irish boys dressed in green and loving each other.

Crazy Cashie into EVERYTHING! We can't even leave him for a second. His legs are still really unsteady, but that doesn't stop him. He even uses the smallest things to try and stand up on. We are in for some trouble here real soon.

Saturday we spent some time at my parent's celebrating my Grandma Danielson's 88th birthday. She looks amazing-you would never guess she's 88. Happy Birthday Grandma! It was fun for the kids--not only was the weather great, but they were beyond excited to see eachother as it's been a few months. They were nuts, but had so much fun!

Swinging!

We ended the fun with a walk after dinner. You can see the tired in Dane's eyes.

Happy Spring Everyone!!

The Boys

We haven't really been going and doing a lot, but a lot is going on around here.
The weather is getting nicer, the boys are getting bigger (and faster!) and we are just loving one another a lot!

My new camera has that awesome color accent feature that I'm starting to figure out. Below is my big boy (who by-the-way calls himself that-funny).
He's been so grown up lately-helping a lot with things around the house, asking to be excused from the table after he's eaten enough. Reading to his brother and "friends" in bed. It's crazy what new things each days brings.

Here's our little piggy. This is what happens to him almost every time he eats. He's a mess. Cash is eating all vegetables and fruits and loving every minute of it! He gobbles down all of his food quite fast!
He's doing a lot quite fast. Last week, he was really moving fast with his worm crawl. This week, he's doing more "real" crawling on all fours and pulling himself up on furniture. I think he just really wants to keep up with Dane.

I had to include this picture because Dane insisted on wearing the bandanna while he worked around the house with Dad. He looked absolutely adorable in it and kept saying, "I'm a pirate. Aargh maties!" And again...he looks so grown up.
You can see the gate in the background--Dane and Daddy put that up this weekend. We need it to keep crazy Cashie in. He's everywhere.

A beautiful spring-like day and we jumped at the chance to get out and play. Both of the boys loved being outside and Cash really seemed to enjoy doing some of what his brother was doing.
We are soooo looking forward to this spring and summer. The past couple of days outside have been so wonderful. And made the nights pretty good too--great sleeping!

And We're Back...

Yay!!

Hello! I'm so happy that we are back! Our computer went down this last weekend, so in the past few days we've had to buy a new camera and laptop. Not fun, but it had to be done. The best new is is that we're all healthy again! This is huge. It was so hard to be homebound for nearly 3 weeks and have sick kids. It's so sad when they are not themselves.

Cash turned 6 months old a few weeks ago. I just can't believe it.
At his check-up, he weighed in at 15 lbs. 2 oz. and was 26 in. tall. His ear infections are gone, his voice is back and I was pleased to hear that he should be rid of his acid reflux by his first birthday. It was a good visit.

Also, as you can see by the above picture, Cash is now sitting up! He seems pretty proud of himself and the way he gets around...he's so fast at his worm crawl. I think he's been tiring himself out because his sleep has gotten better! Yay for us!

Ross has been playing hockey this winter, but all of his games are really late. This week, he had an early game so we got to go an watch. Dane was very excited--he loves hockey and anything that is Daddy does. I didn't get but one picture as I was watching Dane like a hawk-we were in the stands that were very steep and metal. Between watching Dane and going up and down the steps with Cash strapped to me in the bjorn, I really didn't get a chance to watch much. But...it was a fun experience!

Dane and Cash have been playing together more. It is the cutest thing ever to hear Dane talk to his little brother. Cash is completely in love with Dane. We're really looking forward to more brother time. How lucky to have a playmate all the time?!

And finally, our goofy guy being just that. We just laugh at Dane-and with him. He is becoming such a great little man!

Quick Update

Still no camera, so you have to deal with me writing a ton more. I'll try to be quick and brief.

Cash was still not acting better, so we brought him in yesterday to find that his antibiotics were not working and he developed an ear infection. So, with a stronger medicine in his system, he seems to be a lot happier. But, not without a new problem. Bad diaper rash. Well, bad by my stand point. I know it could be worse. My poor boy has had it rough lately. We are hoping for a new, fresh start to the week and getting back to life.

With that said, everyone seems to be doing better. Friday, both Ross and I were down with the flu. The bad flu. At least it was only a 24 hour flu. Both of us sick trying to deal with a sick Cashie-not good. And Dane was so amazing. My parents took him for several hours so he could get out and do some fun stuff. Thank goodness for that. I'm soooo looking forward to getting back to our routines and fun activities.

Nothing else new, but I think I'm ok with that. Sickness for almost 3 weeks is just too much. I'm so greatful that we are getting healthy again. The one plus I have found to being quarentined to our home for so long...I'm even more in love with my boys. If that's possible. I feel so blessed to have such a sweet, smart, absolutely hilarious, affectionate, loving Dane-bug. I think I've laughed more in the last 3 weeks than I have in a really long time. And Cash...even though he's been so sick, he's still had his happy, fun moments. He is extremely close to crawling. Like any day. And sitting up. He's busy. Ok. I'm not going to continue on with my bragging, but we really are lucky parents.

A Week of All That?!?

We have had a very interesting week! After a fun trip to the dr. last Wednesday, we discovered that Dane had his first set of ear infections and a horrible chest cough. Yes, I said set. Poor guy gets his first infection and is blessed with two. He's been a trooper though and is finally starting to feel good. It was sad seeing him down and out.

A surprise 30th party for the hubby turned out great! He was surprised and we all had a fun night. Alas, after the fun, I awoke with a terrible cold. Apparently my boys passed something to me. I now say boys, because by this point, Cash has developed some of the cough that Dane had. We then decide to spend Valentine's eve out on the town and make a trip to the Maple Grove Maze. It was great fun for Ross and Dane who climbed through all of the big tunnels and tubes. The place was packed-I guess everyone else thought it would be empty too.
Brought Cash back into the dr. Tuesday to get his cough and raspy voice checked out (he's had almost no voice for over a month-he used to cry really loud and they think he strained it. They think his acid reflux and this sickness may be keeping it raspy). Wow. After spending two hours at the clinic--toe prick and x-ray--Cash was diagnosed with pneumonia. Oh my poor little baby. He didn't even act really sick. He was still laughing and playing and eating a ton. The only problem I noticed was his bad cough. So he has been on antibiotics now for 24 hours and we are hoping he gets better soon. I'm still feeling very under the weather-not too sure what I'm dealing with. And to top off all of this, I lost our camera. We can't find it anywhere. I haven't seen it since we were at the Maze. Great. No pictures to post of all of these events as they are all on the camera that I no longer have. Ross thinks I lost it on purpose because I want a new camera. Not true, but good timing!

So, sorry for all the writing but it's been a crazy week. I'm getting very stir crazy and need out, but I also need all of us well before we do that.
Hopefully I'll be back sooner than later with new picture updates and healthy news!
Until then...

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today, Ross turned the big 3-0. It's kind of a big deal in our house-as all birthdays are-but especially for Ross and myself. It's a big number. One that we are both amazed is already here.
With that said, I want to wish Ross a very happy birthday! I want to remind him of how special his family finds him to be. I want him to know that our life is so beautifully blessed because of him. I need Ross to know that he is the best husband, the best dad, the best provider and my best friend. Thank you Ross, for everything that you do for us. We love you so very much.

The following is a small look back at some of the great times of Daddy and kids :
